Convocation
All the singers selected (L’Amour masqué and Ariodant) are expected on Monday 19 April 2027 at 6:00 p.m. at Opéra-Théâtre de Clermont-Ferrand for a check of their registration followed by the draw of the order of passage to the trials from 7:00 p.m.
All the singers and pianists selected (Piano-Voice Duo) are expected on Tuesday 20 April 2027 at 6:00 p.m. at Clermont-Ferrand Opera-Theatre for a check of their registration, followed by the draw of the order of passage to the trials from 7:00 p.m.
Any late arrival or other artistic commitment will result in the exclusion of the candidate.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday 20 April 2027 at 9:00 a.m. and the schedule will follow the order of the draw that took place on Monday 19 April.
Rehearsals for the Piano–Voice Duo will begin on Wednesday 21 April 2027 at 9:00 a.m., and the schedule will follow the order of the draw that took place on Tuesday 20 April.
Friday, April 23, 2027 is dedicated to rehearsals with the finalists.
Pianist
Three accompanist pianists will be available to assist singers during rehearsals and auditions. No private accompanists will be allowed, except for Piano-Voice duos.
Trials
Trials are public. The order of presentation throughout the competition will follow the order of the draw conducted on Monday, April 19 and Tuesday, April 20 2027.
Meeting with the Jury
An exchange session between candidates and jury members is scheduled for Friday, April 23. Finalists are not permitted to meet with jury members during this session.
First round
20 & 21 April 2027, 14:00 and 20:00
Each candidate or duo will perform one aria selected by Clermont Auvergne Opéra from the candidate’s program and communicated at the time of registration validation in February 2027 (total duration: 10 min. max.).
Each candidate auditioning for L’Amour masqué and/or Ariodant will present a spoken text in French, learned by heart, lno longer than 2 minutes in total. The jury reserves the right to ask the candidate to perform an additional aria chosen from their audition programme.
The Piano–Voice Duos will present their text orally, in French or English, not exceeding 2 min.
Semi-finals
22 April 2027, 14:00 and 20:00
The semi-finals will include a period of artistic and musical work in the form of a workshop, tailored to the projects auditioned (e.g. Act II finale and finale from Haydn’s L’Isola disabitata for Ariodant) and a time on stage where each candidate and Duo sing an aria chosen by the jury from the candidate’s program.
The jury reserves the right to ask the candidates to perform an additional aria chosen from their audition programme.
Final
24 April 2027, 15 :00
Each candidate and Duo sing aria(s) chosen by the jury from the candidate’s program. Total duration: 10 minutes maximum.
The Competition organization reserves the right to modify the course of the trials and rehearsals and will keep candidates informed of any changes.
